geminibros Great wrap-up, very well captured. I can put some personal context in this as a Sunday day-tripper. We went all-in on Bethel so it was a late decision to even go to Mondegreen. We didn't pull the trigger until Friday because we needed to get kid & dog-sitting plans set first. Then it was a scramble on Saturday night to rearrange *all of that* for the changed start time, all while adjusting our trip plan to wake up hours earlier so we could make the 4 hour drive work. And then yeah, the heat was brutal, I struggled for sure. The tiny snippet of the festival that we saw looked like it was a blast, but the event clearly wasn't set up for daytime Phish sets (there's a reason they canned that plan months ago!). And then any plans we had to wander the grounds after the show were obviously cut short by weather. The only real positive was I got so messed up by the heat, I had no appetite for overpriced food.

I will always say that even a "bad" Phish show is still one of the best live music experiences around, but Sunday really tested that. They didn't even proactively offer a refund on the Sunday day pass, in case we preferred to skip the show. We wouldn't have taken it, but I think that lack of consideration speaks to the some big holes in the planning that I'd hope they'll patch up the next time.
