I really like the Divided Sky at this show.  Some great
stuff from Trey!

This is the first version that has Fish hitting a cymbal
(cow bell here.. sometimes he hits a rimshot) before they
launch more fully into the opening instrumental segment
(if you don't know what I'm talking about, see 00:12 on
the "A Live One" YEM).  The 1/26/89 version may have had
it, too, but my tape didn't have the opening instrumental
section on it at all, so I dunno...  This cymbal/cow bell
TWANG immediately precedes The Rest Of the Instrumental
Opening Segment, after the dead stop that occurs after the
first ten seconds or so of YEM (in today's versions as
well).  No big deal.. I just thought I'd note it for
anal-historical purposes.  Fwiw, 5/9/89 does NOT have this
TWANG, nor do numerous other 1989 versions, so apparently
Fish didn't start making this TWANG a common thing until..
I dunno.  I suppose I'll see shortly. He's ALWAYS done
this little TWANG for the last few years of YEM.. at least
the last few years..

Opening is otherwise standard, with some pleasant grooving
by Mike is his solo-section and a good pre-charge.  The
Notes were hit fine.

Substantial screaming, and then "Boy" at 5:25.  Nothing
much to say.. standard great YEM.  Trey breaks out at the
usual time for these old versions (10:15 or so).  Great
stuff from Page.. Mike and Fish keep the groove.  Trey's
soloing is reasonably melodic.  Typical strong improv from
him.  Nothing to say.  No teases of anything at all (I
can't wait to find out what my first Oye Como Va YEM
is..).  At 12:53 Bass and Drums, with more bass and drums
and less Page and Trey for the first 30 seconds than usual
for these old versions.  When Trey and Page do come in
more strongly, they accompany very well.. as usual. (Yawn)

Final WUDMTF/Vocal Jam at 13:56.  Echo effects on the
vocal "jam".. nothing here, really.  Foam kicks in out of
the "vocal echo effects jam" at 15:21.  (C- rating)
